k3n12ock
Is this possible? Mines is supposedly tuned to 32hz and I want it around 35-36 now. Would throwing something in the box help it tune higher. I know I'll sacrafice total .CU but I'm fine with that. arnold1992
i think cutting the port a bit shorter raises tuning freq.. Quote RE se xxx 18d2 (4) Audioque 2200 (2) DC Power 270XP blue 3 C&D fr310 Stinger wiring CDT components
kl0wn
I threw a hoodie the port of my old setup and it raised the tuning up a little, but it was a pretty small hole to begin with haha, could also take and board a piece of the port up, will look ugly, but would get the job done. Then again..I may be wrong about that tuning it higher...not 100% positive, somebody can correct me if I am wrong though Quote 06 Mini Cooper S Sundown, SoundQubed Cadence, XS Power 151s Sealed 155s Outlaw Windshield @ 37hz
Decaf
get a dremel and shorten the port u will increase ur box volume so u might not lose lows either by doing this

OBI
Cutting your port down by an inch wont lower the freq that much. Plus the more you cut the more volume you get in your box affecting your tuning. IMO it would be more of a hassel to do that. Why not just build another one? lilmontez34
could also take and board a piece of the port up, will look ugly, but would get the job done. Acually, I agree with you, I have 4 machined metal ports on the top of my box for my 12's which looks really nice, but It sounds louder with the big ugly board on top unfortunatly. I really would rather not have the board. Now that I think back, I have a box with 2 10's that have insulation in the box. I was considering adding some insulation in the box of my 12's. Would that possibly be able to substitute the boards? Edited November 14, 2009 by lilmontez34 Quote Lilmontez34 Website

If not, you can always remove the board and try something else. Edited November 14, 2009 by lilmontez34 Quote Lilmontez34 Website
k3n12ock
^ Pretty much what he said. If I threw some insulation in the box, would it tune higher?
