Bumpin Taurus Posted November 17, 2009 Report Posted November 17, 2009 So, I was playing my music, take out the CD, put in a new one, and then the subs are hitting, like at all. Pull over, pop the trunk, and they definitely aren't playing. I check the LED on the amp and the power is on, but so is the protect LED. I didn't play a new song or anything, I don't think it was that. Any suggestions? Could it be that it just got too hot? You might have some wires hooked up wrong or you could possibly have a half way bad fuse who knows it could be the amp thats just bad.lol dont take word from me im just saying but thats what i would check. :search:or you could also be running too thin of a gauged speaker wire...... What amp are you currently using? YOu should try another different amp and seen if it work. If not then that amp's toast..

OK, this if my first system so you must bare with me. It's a Hifonics Brutus amp(bxi610 I believe) 600 watts They are 2 12" RE SE subs in a ported box I wired them up for one ohm They have been working fine for a few days now. I've played songs with lows and hi's and they were working fine. I think that I DO NOT have the settings right. I have the db over 5(is that bad?) I'm not sure what the volts of my stock headunit are. And I still have to set the gains on the LOC. Also I'm still not sure what the low and hi cutoff/limit should be. Remember I'm new at this.
