adding second batt with stock alt

well there be a problem if i add a second battery with stock alt?have a redtop under hood and thiking of buying a 1800 or 2000 kinetik for rear.

how much power you running? the problem with doing that is it adds more strain to the alt to charge more then original designed

Depends on the alternator, but I'm going to say most likely yes.

HOWEVER I would say a charger is your friend. Your stock alt may not be able to fully charge both batts if, say, you discharge them halfway or something. I have heard good things about Kinetic's chargers, so if you buy one of their batts I would get one of those as well.

alt is only 90amps and im powering a RF T2000,usually i dont have it loud for long time,only when im going to demo or comps

ive been pritty good wit runnin 2 batterys off stock alt, but helps to have big three to lessen the resistance load so it can help charge a lil faster

my alt is only 70 i think n im only runnin 1000rms so u should be good wit a kinetic tho, but if ur gunna hammer on it day in and day out ied try to charge em back up fully maby once every 2 or 3 weeks to keep the cells strong

and to kinda help wit this thread i got a question

when chargering multi batterys that are diff do u unhook each n charge one independently or charge both at the same time? n how do u kno once there fully charged?

Oh. Erm...idunno then, forget what I said lol. For sure you will want some sort of charger. It may not be a bad idea to throw it on nightly if you can, I think. IDK, someone else take over please. =P
