Bluebrindle
Is it worth me running my 3500's at .7ohm instead of 1 ohm (can get subs reconed) or is it just going to degrade sq (as have run amps at .7 ohm before and the sq is noticibly worse) will have the power supply to back them up (400a of alternator for 2x 3500's ) anyone know what power they put out at 14v as well? 1992Chevy K1500
They should be over 1 ohm after impedance rise. The difference is, you should get more power (depending on how much imp. rise you get at each level). I dunno about the change in sq though. finkster
I dont think you can hear the difference in SQ from .7 to 1 ohm honestly, unlesss you were clipping or your subs couldnt take it. Impedence rise should keep overall resistance above 1 ohm anyhow. Check out some of Jacobs tests...Good luck Quote DAT 4125------>RE XXX comps active Eclipse cd7000 I serve drunks for a living
sodfamily
Not sure if you have clamped your amp yet to see what kind of power you are getting at one ohm. May be benifical to do this, that way you know at 1ohm you have X amount of power and at .7 ohm you have X amount of power. If it is a couple hundred 100-300 I am not sure it will be noticable, but dont quote me on that. I just clamped my SAZ3000D at .72ohms and I was getting 3758watts out of it on a 37Hz burp. I am happy with this.
