Nirvalica
I'm sure you're probably sick of these, but I have to post another. I'm looking to get a new HO alternator. I have the stock alt in my 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ w/4.0L I6. I don't know how many amps it puts out, but it's not enough for me. As far as my amps, they are in my sig. If I replace the alt, I will also do the big 3. Now, I don't know what size alt I'll likely need. I also don't really know much about alternator brands, besides people around here use Iraggi and Mechman. I don't want to spend a whole lot on whatever I get. Please point me in the right direction! I got a quote from Highoutputalternator.com saying they can get me a 200amp alt for $600. That seems like way too much to me. I'd want to spend like half that if I can. I also found a 150 amp alt from Quadratec for $200. It's just a generic brand as far as I know though, so that makes me weary. Plus I don't think it is much bigger then my stock alt, if at all... Hit him up.I sent him an email like ten minutes ago. We'll see what he has to say, but I want some other options as well. But thanks for that, at least it'll give me an idea of what I should expect as far as prices. Any other ideas? Quote My Youtube Page. Nirvalica
DC Power ftw I just briefly checked their site and I couldn't find my model jeep. Also, they seemed too expensive for me. I don't want to spend a whole lot. I'd like to stay at around $300 or less, max I'd go is $400 if it was worth it. Quote My Youtube Page. Nirvalica
i say check mechman tooYea, I have. They also don't have my year/model jeep on their site either. And like DC, that stuff is too expensive for me. It's $600 for a 250 amp alt for a newer style jeep GC. I don't want to spend that much. That's nearly how much my whole system cost...
