mhuck123
I have a set of T 9512-44 dual 4 ohm 12's in a 1.5ft3 (each, seperate enclosures) and it sounds like crap. I need to design a new box but the specifications rec. a box between 1/1.75ft3. How does everyone figure out how large a box to build? I want to be tuned around 34hz and I can go big if I need to. Boon
I would chuck them in about 5 cubes with 60sq.in of port. Quote 10.x volts fo' life!

mhuck123
i would try the one mtx recomends like the one at the bottom of the spec sheet That is basically what it is in right now and it maxes out in the low 130's. Rec. box size sucks ass! I just plugged the numbers into the RE box calculator and it says I'm tuned to 49hz in the currernt box, no wonder is sounds like crap! So anyone else have any help other than try and try again? I'll try the 5 cu ft enclosure unless someone else has a better idea. Edited November 22, 2009 by mhuck123 Quote Starting From Scratch!! Boon
Yeah recommended box size is often made of suck and fail. 5 cubes total, common chamber assuming they're running off the same amp. Quote 10.x volts fo' life!

Yup, It's a Zapco 9.0. Any ideas on port size? The box will be facing up through the rear deck. The whole thing is cut open and will be woofer port woofer. Quote Starting From Scratch!!
