solosickness Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 well i get into my car today....and turn my amp on and i hear a pop...oh shit...i turn it off...figuring it was just what ever i turn it on again...i hear pop POP .....next thing you know my car is full of smoke and my amp no longer turns on.... i run a rockford fosgate 4000.1 bd wtf....why would my amp do this how much are the repair costs gunna fucking run me now....cuz when i repair the shit im selling it. Ive done nothing but hear bad shit here on hifonics, but every amp i ever owned by hifonics i re sold for 70% of what i payed, never had a problem. so i switch over to rockford...and now i got a 60 pound paper weight....that stinks like burnt metal. why the fuck didnt my internal amp fuse blow before my amp...WTF ============ THE PIC I GOT UP THERE AS MY avatar...is my setup....anyone see anything i did wrong? gone thru problems: -used amp, worked for 2 weeks just fine... -i got both wires grounded too the chassis. OBI Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 Dude you dont really have that much battery power. Low voltage probably killed your amp. Plus Idk how many runs of 0 you have, plus you have the lowest line of Knu wire, which would require mulitple runs.
