I would recommend sending to RF for repair, because RF bonds the semi-conductors and it is near impossible to remove and replace. I have tried and it is a mess. You could try and get it fixed elsewhere, but there arent that many people I would trust to repair an amp that expensive other than the original manufacturer. Think about it this way. Coming back from RF it's will damn near be new, sure you could save half the money and fix it somewhere else, but if it blows again then you're right back spending the same money you could have spent from the get go. Marlo Stanfield Posted November 24, 2009 Report Share Posted November 24, 2009 well i was told a 1800 + 2400 would be more then enough for 4k rms....lemme guess its not right? ffswell heres another thing.... last night right after i demoed it a bit i jumped my sisters car....i got a gut fealing jumping her car caused my problem somewere. What else electrical wise do u have done?? Alt, big 3, etc... For a RF 4k I'd suggest an HO alt, Kinetik 1400 under hood(or similar) and 2 group 31 batts in back(kinetik 2400 or similar). The big 3 upgrade obviously and dual power/ground runs of at least 1/0awg. i highly doubt jumping someone fryed your amp...call me a noob but i do it constantly with no issues at all. x2... I've jumped countless cars over the years w/ systems installed and never have had any issue with it. 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer... New setup, old ride... QX56 is staying stock til I get loud... It's only getting walled off if I don't meet my goal @ SBN. Pioneer AVIC-N2 (12) 12" RE SXs old model.... (3) AB VFL 500.1 @ 1ohm each Dual 300amp Ohio Gen alts.... jmitch Posted November 24, 2009 Report Share Posted November 24, 2009 i may be a noob but in my pass experiences vibration will Eff the amp up that may be what happen and technically (in a perfect world) if sumthin happen wit ya electrical the fuse on the amp is supposed to blow. to find out what happen to it is to open it up take a pic and let Boon (he knows his shizzz) on here have a look at it or let the professionals look at it and tell u so u can fix it.
