hey, just bought my neighbors old 95 caprice with the "FUEL EFFICIENT" 4.3L v8 L99 block.

just wondering how make it rumble a little.. i really want some dual pipes but i've heard tons and tons of stories about that it'll be way worse on gas, slower, and even be harmful to the engine...

right now its 100% stock.. was thinking just getting the stock piping and getting a Tri-Y pipe and tip it with maybe dual flowmaster 44's

suggestions ? comments ?

yeah but what about all the back pressure required ? just wondering if it'll harm my performance, gas mileage, or engine in any means ?

How much of the exhaust system are you changing? Are you leaving the cats/pre-cats there? If so I doubt you would have to worry about back pressure issues.

probably get it dualed out with dual flowmaster.. and where in TN are you ?

So you are only replacing the muffler? Then you will be ok. I am in Memphis currently, but I am from Columbia then went to school at MTSU.
