What are the pros/ gains for running a wire from the - on a second battery to the - on the font battery?

What are the pros/ gains for running a wire from the - on a second battery to the - on the font battery? instead of just grounding the second battery in the back?

i have 50 + feet of knu 0/1 sitting at my house so i am planning on doing it this week but i was wondering if there were any gains to have a run from the - up front to the - in the back?

If you plan on running a lot of current, doing a direct run through wire is always the best. It basically allows the electricity to travel through the wire and not the chassis. Some chassis have poor electrical flow for massive amounts of power. By doing Positive and Negative runs, you have peace of mind knowing that it's going through that wire and you have no resistance issues (besides the resistance of the wire and such)

On the same topic if you run multiple wires from front battery to back battery, do you need more runs from the alternator to the front battery.
