maxmelber
i just started beating about a month ago. i have one 15inch kicker comp and i built my own sealed box. and my question is my friends tell me it should be louder and that i should cut a port into it. and i want to wait to do anything to my box because i am i broke a$$ dude and i got a piece from my buddy for stock radios and you wire right positive and negative and same with the left and my RCAS go into that then to my amp and thats wired right to my back 6x9s and i wanted to wait until i get the money for a dash kit(99 ford Taurus) and a head unit. also i was wondering if i do decided to cut a port to cut a circle or 2 or a rectangular slit....and i was also thinking about poly fill but i really don't know my sub is recommended for sealed and if i do cut ports do i have to rebuild or desgin my box in anyway? what the positive or negatives of each are. any input will help me thank you and my stock radio has a tape player and a broken ass 6 disc cd changer and i am using the stupid tapes with the head phone wire to plug into my cd player thats prolly got a lot to do with it. just let me know what you guys think. Ndnkobra
what if im runnin the speakers in parallel Are those single coil or dual? if they are single coil, then yes you can wire them in parallel to get about a load just a bit over 1, so you're safe wiring your amp up to 1 ohm. If they are dual, then you'd have to wire them in series/parallel to get double just over 2.5 ohms. Use the 12volt diagrams to help you, here's a link. http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_c...sp?Q=3&I=
