Great job opportunity for some skilled with electronics, and diagnosing

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, as some of you know, I do appliance repair. Its a good job money wise, and a great way to get your foot in the door for being a repair tech.

The company I work for will be hiring for the new year, I know this because 2 people are quiting for another opportunity starting Jan 1st

What this job entails is appliance repair on ovens, fryers, and warmers. Some of it is really simple, some takes a lot of thinking.

But I figured I would post this here, because I feel anyone that can install car alarms, and is MECP certified, and can unclog a sink, or change out a toilet can do this job.

There is a lot of diagnosing electrical systems 12v to 120v to 240, AC/DC transformers, capacitors, control boards, relays, displays, heater elements, gas valves, and ignition systems

I know it starts off decent pay, but after 3 months it goes up. You get your own vehicle ( maybe not to drive to and from work everyday-depends on how far from work you are), and just need tools.

What you need is a okay to good driving record, all they will look for really is that your not currently being tried for something, and have a DL's, and you must pass a drug test.

I only took 1 drug test ever, so they don't test randomly, or periodically, just when you start

The office is in Woodland. Its not that far, I drive to get there 40mins a day, each way. So this is a good opportunity if you live within I would say 20miles radius of Woodland

I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

To bad I ain't over there. I could do all that and do it just about daily now (maint tech for drug rehab. If it breaks I fix it no matter what it is).

I'd move, but that'd also get me a pay cut. Not much, but every little bit helps.
