What are you looking for in a setup(SQ, SPL, loud daily, etc)?? All of these need to be answered before we can even begin to help you out. Quote 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer... TheSundownFire
I ran a 15 Type R for over a year. I loved it. Ran it off an SAZ-1000D and it took the power very well. Youll need atleast 4 gauge depending on your wire run. Box specs are between 1.5 and 3.0 cubic feet. Had mine at 2.5. Port tuned to 33hz. But thats just what I did. Not saying its the only way. treossi
i'd throw an saz2000 to both of them with some 0 gauge wire of course... would be nice in a good box.. depends on car and how much space you have though Quote Team sundownWESTCOASTSPL.COM we're throwing dbdrag events very soon visit the website for details
TheSundownFire
I assume he has a 95 Altima. I had the space in my trunk for two 15 Type Rs and my trunk is small as shit. I never did the build and went for my Z15. Marlo Stanfield
I personally got a good laugh out of the OP's sig(the reason being that 15" Type-Xs don't exist lol) - Noob setup atm... Just a shallow 12" Pioneer. Working towards 2 15" Alpine Xs Quote 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer... New setup, old ride... QX56 is staying stock til I get loud... 95Altima
I personally got a good laugh out of the OP's sig(the reason being that 15" Type-Xs don't exist lol) -Noob setup atm... Just a shallow 12" Pioneer. Working towards 2 15" Alpine Xs LOL I realized that... Put X instead of R. Oh, and the situation changed... I am being GIVEN 2 15" R's with a 1500 RMS amp. The subs are already in a box. Would 0 gauge wire be excessive? (I'm not sure what model the amp is yet) Edited December 21, 2009 by 95Altima Quote 1 15" Planet Audio Big Bang AP30001D Sony Headunit 1/0 Wiring
TheSundownFire
No 0 gauge is right where you should be. Id rather be excessive than have it be too small. If the amp doesnt have 0 gauge inputs just get some reducers and youll be fine. 95Altima
Okay, thanks for the help! You said you had a small trunk and they fit, right? I mean, they were in a hatchback before, so they should be fine. Quote 1 15" Planet Audio Big Bang AP30001D Sony Headunit 1/0 Wiring
95Altima
Amp is a Phoenix Gold 15.0:1 which I am unable to find when I search for it. There's also a Farad cap. on the back of the box which is included. The size of the box... 34 in. across, 16 in. deep, and 17 in. tall.
