Chris from Mi
the one thing mike didnt discuss i the vid is what size wire to use. you would think the larger the better, but if you put 1/0 wire on the + of your alt and its not made for it the bolt can then act as a resistor and build up wayy to much heat and possibly melt components of the alt. 4 gauge that short can carry more than enough current for your application Quote Orion 2500D, Jbl Gto 75.4 Team Wolfpack Audio FSQ 15" d2, mb quart xover, tweets peerless 6.5 mids Alpine cda-105 optima up front Knu klm 1/
arnold1992
well for a single cab just do a larger alt and try to fit the biggest, best batt in the tray..when you're driving and your alt provide enough amps you don't need a huge bank of batts.. Audio-Concepts
If you have a bench Hook up the Big 3 and a 200amp alt and you should be ok. If you have buckets w/ center console Hook up Big 3 and run a secondary battery in the center console. run batteries underneath and no problems should come up. If still having voltage issues. add battery to having a bench ---------------or----------------- add alternator to buckets setup I wouldn't run a cap because they are more of a headache then the money they are worth.
