I gotta Jl audio v2 1000/1 and two jl tw5's about to be put in a 89 single cab chevy truck should i get a 220 amp alternator and a back up battery or just one or the other ? I have a yellow top duralast with the highest amount of cranking amps they make ! And my alternator has 105 amps ! Wut would you do in this situation ?

i would do both. but if you cant do both, then the extra batt would prob come before the alt IMO

edit: make sure the big 3 is done also.

it's a single cab. where's he gonna put an extra battery? lol

for 1000rms you shouldnt really need that big of an upgrade, the big three is a great place to start, then you could go with the alt because you are really limited on the amount of space for an extra batt.

lol im just learning abunch of this stuff but its seems so far by reading these posts that caps are the stepchild of the audio world...why is that? do they really not do anything?
