If your amps are shutting down from getting too hot then they are very worth it.

I have had to use them in about 3 of my personal installs.

if your amp or amps are goin to be covered up like meads then yeah you might want to consider it but if you have some space around your amp or amps then you don't need them the amps do a good job of cooling themselves if they are overheating check to see if there is something up against the cooling fins or you have an electrical problem

Does it help out the subs also from overheating??

LOL if your subs are over heating then you have other issues, like you are trying to push them too hard.

To answer your question it will not help your subs.

if your amp or amps are goin to be covered up like meads then yeah you might want to consider it but if you have some space around your amp or amps then you don't need them the amps do a good job of cooling themselves if they are overheating check to see if there is something up against the cooling fins or you have an electrical problem

or if you are running fullrange Class A/B amps. Class A/B amps run hotter than Class D subwoofer amps and there are still quite a few Class D amps that have fans built in or don't have a fan and still need one.

Plain and simple, if your amps are shutting off and they are very hot to the touch when they shut off then you most likely need a fan on them.

Neither one is overheating i was just curious, I Had a friend ask me about them and it made me wanna know also
