Really its up to you man I am personally a fan of more subs, dont really know why i guess I just like cone area but everyone willl tell you if you do it all right you can get great results will half the amount of subs beacuase each sub gets more power. I just switched from 4 old school jl w3s off my aq 1200 @ 1 ohm to 2 15'' type r's and its similair, the 15s beat the 12s on the lows but Im still not happy so Im probably scrappin the backseat and getting another 1200 and 2 more type rs, and of course an alt and a second battery.
