rumblefish
I just purchased a d2700 battery for my 2007 tahoe. I originally purchased it to run as an additional battery to put in the back. I was planning on keeing the stock delco battery up front. My amps are sundown, a 2000d and a 125.2. That is roughly 2300 watts. Now that I'm looking at the specs on the 2700, it looks like it would support these amps on it's own. Would it be smarter just to use the d2700 as the only battery to avoid mixing different battery types? Or should I stay with my original plan? The alternator is 160 amps, and I don't plan on adding any more amplifier power. If you are going to let the vehicle set for a while you should unhook the battery. I would recommend you leave the D2700 in the back and replace the delco battery upfront when you get a chance with the S3400.

The D6500 is 11.8L x 7.2W x 6.8H and weighs 58lbs The S3400 is 10.24L x 6.75W x 7.20H and weighs 46lbs 6500 will support 3000watts as a starting battery and 4000watts as a secondary battery 3400 will support 2500watts as a starting battery and 4000watts as a secondary battery The 3400 is $50 cheaper also. enemyofsilence
gotcha. thanks for clearing that up. back on topic: with one of those s3400 and your d2700 you have plenty of battery to back you up. Quote Team Bass-Hz
