At that peak is where your vehicle is the loudest. indeed, it's the frequency that peaks in your vehicle. There are a few different ways of testing for it. That sounds to be in the right ballpark frequency wise. And with resonance, near enough is not good enough. 2 or 3 hz off and there's no point in finding out in the first place. Quote 10.x volts fo' life! Forevrbumpn Posted December 26, 2009 Report Share Posted December 26, 2009 Boon is correct, best way is to build your box at the size you want, and have an adjustable port system, and adjust port freq until you get you peak gain because if you have a small box, and find a peak of like 50-51hz, and then you go off and build your box on a large ported design, I guarantee you will be higher with the larger box and then cone area is a factor too Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
