Guest Posted December 26, 2009 Report Posted December 26, 2009 You a local guy, so maybe I'll run into you at a show next summer. I'm up by Six Flags and most of Team DOA is from Chicago and a few guys just across the WI border. what city are you in? Quote

Decaf Posted December 26, 2009 Report Posted December 26, 2009 mike you have done some amazing stuff this past year to ur car its been cool to have seen this change from ur "trunk setup" to the current wall and since you shrunk ur port to raise tuning to 43 from 39... u also gained some volume so im guessing you didnt loose any low end huh? cant wait to see some :hairtrick: next time w/my girl! mlstrass Posted December 26, 2009 Author Report Posted December 26, 2009 what city are you in? Beach Park, between waukegan and wadsworth. Like 10 minutes east of gurnee mills mall... Quote
mlstrass Posted December 26, 2009 Author Report Posted December 26, 2009 I'm sure me and some of the DOA guys will make one of the Sundown One shows next year as we hit up one last year. Quote

I gained 1.4^3 by shortening the port, but made up some boxes to put inside the wall and get volume back down. It's even more inefficient then before as I only gained .1dB at 1ohm, but when I put some power to them I gained .7 so all the work paid off. Of course I have other plans to bump up the score a little more Port reducer is a lot taller now, but seems to work fine although I haven't played "trunk bang" yet... Quote
Decaf Posted December 26, 2009 Report Posted December 26, 2009 (edited) well as long as u kept the same ratio of volume:port likely it will just be quieter at 29hz with higher tuning and same volume i still really enjoy head snappin 155s high notes that ur car belts out, 25hz tears ur car apart, 50hz tears ur vision apart (i read during the 162.1 burp u couldnt even see past volume 30) ... mike thats officialy LOUD! jebbus Edited December 26, 2009 by Decaf Quote
