Hostility
hey, just curious is anyone would know the resonant frequency of my truck (1999 chev s10 ext cab) as im going to be doing 4 10's. i was orig going to do sealed box, but now im thinking ported. but just curious as to what to tune it to, and how much port area. i will be using 4 10" DC audio level 3's. if anyone could give me some help that would be awsome, thanks. oh, when i bump hard i mostly listen to, e-40, too short, that sort of low hitting stuff, but i want it to be able to play clean and loud on more stuff then just the low hitting songs. thanks! LoudBlazer
Really no reason to buidl right at the res freq unless your seriously trying to compete or wanan waste alot of time building lol. Just do what tre said and do a bit higher tuning like 38 and see how you like it. Quote 1997 2 Door Blazer Bagged & Body Dropped SBC/TH350
treossi
yep.. you'd probably be peaking in the mid 40s tune to 38 see how you like it Quote Team sundownWESTCOASTSPL.COM we're throwing dbdrag events very soon visit the website for details
Hostility
yep.. you'd probably be peaking in the mid 40s tune to 38 see how you like it well thats what i was thinking, like 36-37 hz, but if i tune to 37hz, will it still play down to 30 hz? IF that box made em sweet at 31 I want one lol that box is specifically designed for a 99 chevy s10 ext cab gets real low and painful in the 40-45 hz region.. just never fed them more than 500 watts at the time Quote TEAM FLEX ISSUES Alpine cda 9886 4 AA Mayhem 15"s dual 1.4 1 Dc 9k 10.5 cubes tuned at 36hz 156.1 dash 154.6 meca mod 4 157.0 kick 2 xs power d3100s mechman 270 amp 2011 Ca state champ meca modified 4 and p&p 4..
