Box for my van

As soon as i sell the last bit of stuff i have/get more cash i'm going to get an audioque 2200 amp and 4 SDC2.5 15's and wire them to 1 ohm. Anyone wanna draw up a box for me? I would like it to be 4 feet wide by 3 feet tall by 3 1/2 ft long. The demensions seem odd but i measured it out and it fits to the top of the back seat between the wheel wells and leaves a bit (bout a foot or two) to carry stuff/ have room for air.

Here is the stats for the sub

Specifications

Model SDC2.510 SDC2.512 SDC2.515

Woofer Size 15″

Fs 30 Hz

Qts 0.655

Qes 0.799

Qms 4.097

Vas 88.74

Le mH 1.88

Sensitivity 1W/1m 90 dB

Magnet Weight 140 oz

Coil Diameter 2.5″

Useable Throw 2.3″

Continuous Power 600

Music Peak Power 1200

Mounting Depth 7.5″

Circle Cutout 14″

i would like the box tuned to around 35HZ because thats what is recomended but wanted to go lower for :hairtrick: but fire away with what ever you have !!!

12 RE audio X series 12's

4 gauge wiring to back batt (soon to be 0 gauge)

0 gauge from batt to amp

kinetik 1800 in back

clarion cx-200 HU

SPL 3000 wired at 2 ohms

8 Re 6.5 full range speakers

well i assumed that disp. is around .2ft3 so i came up with:

32.32 ft3

35.14 Hz

port area: 462 in

port: 21*22*13

and frankly that way too much airspace

i havent had experience with these subs but anything over 3-3.5 ft3 per sub is overboard IMO

where you gonna put batteries and such if its all box?

start simple and work your way up.

you have great space to do a lot of things utilize it the best way you can and good luck :good:

Those subs are only gonna be seeing less than 550w after imp. rise/voltage drops, so I'd build it like 4ft3 / 45-50in^2 of port per woofer. You'd want it a little bigger than anubis said(3-3.5ft3) just to have the woofers handle the small amount of power more efficiently.

Final enclosure IMO should be 16ft3 @ 35hz w/ 180-200in^2 of port area, double baffle, plenty of bracing, subs up/port back.. You'll prolli have to end up paying someone for a proper design or just doing one yourself on a program like ExpoSport's one he has on here. Also don't forget that you're gonna need to have some electrical upgrades so that your vehicle will be to power the amp properly(keep the voltage up), so I hope you set aside some $$ for that.

1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer... New setup, old ride... QX56 is staying stock til I get loud... It's only getting walled off if I don't meet my goal @ SBN.

Pioneer AVIC-N2

(12) 12" RE SXs old model.... (3) AB VFL 500.1 @ 1ohm each

Dual 300amp Ohio Gen alts.... (10) Northstar NSB-125s

26ft3 @ 33hz w/ a ton of port area

156.5 @ 40hz @ dash, Db Drag style / 153.2 Bassrace

Yes i did set aside some money for electrical upgrades, i already have the wires for the big 3 but is 4 guage big enough to run from the front to back to power the 2200??

but there is plenty of room next to the wheel well for a battery to fit snugly but what would happen if i put the woffers in that big of a box? i was also going to double ply all the sides/ 45 everything and put lots of bracing so i was gonna try andd get like 20 feet out of it or so.

Thanks for the help!!!

Feel free to post anymore opinions/ idead for eitheer different subs and amp or box designs.
