Team Sundown's Charles Posted February 7, 2010 Author Report Share Posted February 7, 2010 Well it took a spl box i had built for a Kicker L7 and cut the face off it. Made a new baffle for a 6" areo port and My Nightshade. The box is 2.86 before displacement . So with the with the Nightshade it give me 2.65 net. Jacob say after displacement his magic single 15" box is only 2.5 so I feel like I'm ok. I ask the question how much port area do you need for areo port and the answer I got was 8-12( not to be mixxed up with the 12-16 needed for slotted port). So for those people like that don't know how to get port area for a round pot. Its port radius squared x P.I.E.(3.14) x the number of port = port area. So 3 x 3 =9 / 9 x3.14= 28.26 / 28.26 divided by my 2.65 net gives me 10.66 of port area per cu.ft. If my math is off some please let me know. any here is some pics. The port has not been cut yet. I also got a e-mail from Jacob so my Sundown 100.4 will be here tomorrow. I'm going to do alittle testing with the spl box this weekend. Well that didn't happen. A friend dropped off a line driver eq for me. And i just had to install it...lol Only problem is I have a double din open with a double din touch screen mount in it. So it took alot longer to install then i planned. I didn't take any pics but i'll get some pics tomorrow so everyone can see how in turned out.....
