Percy Posted January 6, 2010 Author Report Posted January 6, 2010 ya i dont know if i mentioned that, so would my specs be right then? i guess where im mostly gettin confused is the port dimensions and what they mean exactly
Percy Posted January 6, 2010 Author Report Posted January 6, 2010 is this how i should do it? this of course isnt including the big 3
UMGixxer Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 when u put port length into that box calculator is means the total port length, not the length for the piece of woodu should do 20*32*27 external 6.76cuft@34hz 5" wide port... total port length is 23" (actual wood would be 20.5) 13.67sqin/cuft much better, u need more port anyways no L needed use dowel rods for bracing top to bottom, side to port wall and front to back wouldnt the actual wood be 19.75? I see it as you need 23" of port, the correction factor is 2.5" since the port width is 5", and the front baffle is 0.75", therefore you that the needed 23" - 2.5" - 0.75" = 19.75". 20.5" would be as far as he could go before having to make an L port
Decaf Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 is this how i should do it? this of course isnt including the big 3 looks fine, dont mount the amp on the box if you dont have to tho (looks like it in the pic) wouldnt the actual wood be 19.75? Decaf Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 keep the same dimensions i gave you the wood on the left and right of the port accounts for .1cuft that changes it to [email protected] this includes .1cuft for bracing so use dowel rods and small 45s
