Percy Posted January 10, 2010 Author Report Posted January 10, 2010 k so if my outer depth is 27, then after 1.5 in of wood is 25.5 inner depth, and my port height is 4.25 so my port wall needs to end 4.25 in away from the inner wall so that would be 21.25in port length right???
Decaf Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 just trust me, make the piece of wood 20.5" long from front to end of port inside height of 5, width of 18.5, length of 23 (but thats not the length of the wood)

Decaf Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 20.5 because i put it on inside of baffle which makes up for the extra .75 correct? what if itll be double baffle?would i make the inside port wall 19.75 then? correct if double baffled i would keep everything the same and use the extra .75" in port length to lower ur tuning, imo get it?
Percy Posted January 10, 2010 Author Report Posted January 10, 2010 ya i get it thanks alot. imma plug the new dimensions in and post up a pic jus to make sure but im pretty sure it should be ready to go.
Percy Posted January 10, 2010 Author Report Posted January 10, 2010 just trust me, make the piece of wood 20.5" long from front to end of port insideheight of 5, width of 18.5, length of 23 (but thats not the length of the wood) what you mean by that? length of 23 is what i originally had and you said it was incorrect explain please
Decaf Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 what you mean by that? length of 23 is what i originally had and you said it was incorrect explain please since u are using the bottom of the box as the port... the sub "thinks" the port extends 1/2 with height (in the situation) since once side of the port doesnt "end" so 1/2 the ports width (height in this situation) is added to give the actual port tuning 23" - (1/2port width) 23 - 2.5 = 20.5 so the port only needs to be 20.5" for the sub to think the port is actually 23"
Percy Posted January 10, 2010 Author Report Posted January 10, 2010 wow... you lost me, you seem to know what your talking about.. so say i were to pay you for some plans... would i get a sketchup of EXACT specs and a cutlist? or what would you be willin to do
