Bump..What do you guys think?

Subbox218s-1.png

Me and my friend have been talking about actually covering at least the top if not the top and front in Deer fur..I havent seen anyone do that lol

Deer fur might act as dampening, kinda like if you covered it in a shag rug. It might look cool though, and it'd definitely be original.

wtf is lolcats?

I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers.

I was hoping for 150 :(.

I was hoping she would let me put it in her butt

i recommend getting the level 5 coils, they will be more forgiving to your amp, those amps are not known to put out the cleanest power. Its worth the extra money and if you ever go to sell everyone will ask if they have the level 5 coils :)

also make sure you have plenty of room behind the port and rear hatch on your suv, too close and things start to get funky.

I have played around with a Tahoe and a box for 2 lv4 18's and 6 would be the closest I would go. We found the farther away the louder we got. 8 inches was the loudest for us. But we are current have it at 6 due to other circumstances. But I would not go closer then 6. I would also suggest a larger square port in the middle and not a long slot on the bottom.

Jusr my 2 cents..

Then its tuned to 40hz unless I make it longer like 30" long then its down to 35hz..is there an advantage to a long port like that instead of a square like I had it?

Yes you have to make the port longer and yes there is an advantage to doing the port that way it will be louder also use a slot port calculator for the length of the port.

Also a little trick I learned if you use my port take a measuring tape and space the box exactly 6 inches away from the hatch closed and tune the box a couple of hertz higher than you want to example for 32 tune to 35 because when it is installed like that it will drop the tuning of the box and be. Hell a loud.

Okay sweet. Then doing the long port and making it 5 inches tall will be perfect then because I want it to be around 32hz. And if I remember right 5" tall and what ever it was long and i think 20 deep will be like 35hz

I would do 6 tall on the port but 5 would work.
