no heat when idling

my heat works fine when i am driving but if i sit and idle my heat gets cold?

I think its my thermostat.

Its a 2000 blazer.

i may be wrong but. if your car is just idleing the engine isnt putting off much heat so there is no heat for your heater to work. get a second opinion though.

If you're up to operating temp and heat is poor at idle it may be a number of issues.

Rev to a steady 2k and see if it changes.

Check coolant level.

Do a heater core flush.

my car works the same running or parked.

but it has to be fully warmed up, when i first start it in the morning, its cold as hell. all cars do that.

dont know if its already warm up and still does that tho

Might be low on coolant.

Check that.

coolant could be low... Thermostat on those goes ALL the time.. so does the hearter core on those.. along with the sensors.. could also be a kink in the hose and when the engine rocks at higher rpm's it unkinks (yes it has happened before)
