Re Audio SX 12

If you still get dimming/voltage drops, then you're going to have to look into investing in a larger battery and a HO alternator. Chances are you wont have to because your amp is under 1000w. Hopefully your stock electrical system can take a toll from that 750w amp, but you'll never know until you install it.

big 3 = 0 guage or 4 gauge?

If you're gonna do it you might as well use 1/0.

I got mine from weldingsupply.com and it was pretty cheap. I think their 1/0 is a tad smaller than Knukoncepts, etc but it was good enough for me.

I actually haven't done my big 3 yet. It got too cold out before I got around to it. I am, however, using the 1/0 from the battery to my Sundown amp.

Also, my battery is under my rear seat so my big 3 is a bit more involved. Well, the run from the alt + to the battery is just longer.

And, yes, I am getting a pretty good amount of dimming. I am running my amp at 1 ohm and used a DMM to set the gains to around 1k watts, but don't know how much current I am actually pulling. I get voltage drop down to about 12.1 volts on certain songs at full tilt, but on most stuff and at normal volume I stay above 14 volts.
