Damaged DMM

Hey guys, i was checking out my DMM yesterday and for some reason it just refused to work. It still turns on but when i go to touch the leads under the resistance setting it reads an infinite resistance. I open up the back to see if the fuse was blown but it looks fine, the thin piece of metal still goes all the way across. The only thing that i did notice that was strange was that my red wire leads tip is a bit melted. I wouldnt think that would affect anything, but you never know. Thanks for any help!

Either the fuse IS bad or you measured something silly on the un-fused input and you've killed it.
