whenever i accelerate i hear a humming noise coming from my speakers inside the car. and when the car is on i hear hissing noises coming from the speakers, very annoying. my headunit and EQ are not grounded to the car's chassis. it is wired up with the cars wireharness, i used a crimp wire connector. and rca's and power wires are away from each other. amps grounds are good. i tried a ground loop isolator, that didnt work.

can it be cheap RCA's? well im not sure if they are cheap, they are rockford but they are the very old. i dont even know if they sell them no more. but the RCA's are purple.

can bad quality RCA's be the reason for whining noises?

Ground your RCA output at the deck (more than likely this is what it is, happens all the time)

Try a different pair of RCAs

Make sure all grounds are sanded down to bare metal

Move any RCA cables away from the power wires. Re ground (sand down paints and make a good connection) bad quality RCA's can sometimes cause this noise if they arent insulated good. like hone audio rca cables are a no go in cars. usually not enough insulation. (rubbers etc)

im thinking it may be the RCA's. they are rockford fosgate punch, but they are really old. i hope its the RCA's.

Trying grounding at the Deck first.

my deck and eq are not grounded on the car's chassis, the ground wire from deck and eq is wired up with my car's ground wire harness. i used a crimped connector. you follow me? i couldnt find an area to ground both devices.

how exactly would i do that?

take a piece of wire (any wire as long as its copper) and twist it around the negative shield of the rca's on the headunit itself then screw it securely to an existing screw on the outside of the headunit
