mE
hey, i was just wondering how much power you would run on these for daily, i'm thinking about putting a hifonics thor on each sub (3000wrms) do you think i should go with more or less? i was also thinking about building a 12cuft. enclosure tuned to 30hz for the pair, what do you think about that one also? sean 371
13-14 cubes net is usually the sweet spot for 2 18's, although you could go all the way to 16 cubes. I kind of like the sound of smaller boxes. 30 hz should be fine. majorpayne
I dont think that the old xxx's will handle a thor for music , atleast not for too long, i believe somewhere between 1500-2000 watts if your gonna play them hard.
mE
really? see i'm getting them for $400 each BNIB so i thought that it was a great deal, maybe i should spend the extra $200 for a pair of 18in. BTL's and put the thors on them?
sean 371
Those would definitely get louder, but the XXX is still a great sub, even the older ones.
