brynm
I have a SX1250.1 and a SX600.2, I'm upgrading my deck to an Eclipse CD5030 which has 5V preouts. What is the proper gain range and gain setting for this?
Polecat
there is no 'generic' for across the board systems, it is really install/equipment dependant Behind every great man....is an underwear tag!
bkolfo4
But if I might add - I was told to set the range as low as you can to maintain the lowest gain setting possible. That will give you the best signal to noise ratio. Example - It is better to set the range on 2 volt and the gain to 1.0 than to set the range on 4 volt and the gain on 8.0. (I doubt those are the same gain level - just trying to show my point) BTW - man I love these amps. I have (2) 900.4's and a remote! Yeah those 900.4's are beastly, the guy I bought my 1250 from had one he was going to sell me, but I already had the 600.2. The remotes are amazing on these.
