teamace24 Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 I currently for my truck am building a ported box for two aq sdc2.5 15 subs but i came upon a deal for my little bros truck. I was dead set on getting two Audioque sdc2.5 12 subs and building a box around 4.5 cubes tuned to 36 hz for them until today when i got a eal on some Kicker cvr 15 subs for less than 150. Now i know Kicker is not the best but i heard some setups and they do get very loud and take a little over their rms power easily. Now my question is this, which cetup will be louder in the limited space i have for his truck. I was thinking two kicker cvr 15 in a huge sealed box with about 3.5 cubic feet per sub sealed powering them with Audiopipe 1500 rms watter, versus, Two audioque sdc 12 in a 4.5-5 cubic feet ported box tuned to 36 hz off the same amp. Which one will be louder and if so is it significantly louder, also which one will pound the lows more. Guest Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 only way to know which one is louder is to try it yourself. just stick with your original plan. sdc's can take buttload's of more power and are reconeable as far as i know.

Well you hit on something i forgot to mention, i want this system to hold up for a long time atleast a year or two and one of my fears is that the kickers will bang but with that much cubic feet and that amp i think they will blow quick.
