BLs are loud. i couldnt imagine my 18 in a hatch or suv. would get retarted..it still does in my trunk which isnt set up too well for spl. im bass racing a 139.9 btw. there is a video in my build thread...but i will be getting a much better one up soon when i get time

The BL 15 i ordered came in couple weeks ago. it literately fell apart within a few days. First the dustcap flew off then the tinsels came desoldered...actually snapped off 1 from each coil, & the spiders started to crack. Scott said I may have gotten a defective one. I finally got around to shipping it back today for repairs. I dont think it was user error, it was in a 2 cuft sealed box powered off a NINe.1.

Megalo probably the main reason your BL bit the dust is because you were running it in a sealed enclosure..The BL and BTL series are built for Ported boxes..Here Read this at the bottom under Enclosures...Might be the reason it tore up...

the tinsel lead slap on all fi subs are pretty bad. i mean they put a padding there thinking it will fix it but once the padding wears off youre out of luck.

its not recomended in a sealed box because of the sound quality.

So you think my deisgn of 2 18's Walled in my car off 1200 watts each will be ok for bass race. (Tuning 32hz)
