Decaf Posted January 19, 2010 Report Share Posted January 19, 2010 the idea is to have the port "bounce" off a surface so the wave has more time to expand so if u have a sedan and do sub back port back u are loading the port against the rear of the trunk or in home audio putting the sub facing a corner, this "loads" the corner and helps the waves expand easier some 8-10" spl setups fire aeroports against the side, again to load the port and give it something to create pressure on this can yeild better cone control among other things Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
