bkolfo4 Posted January 27, 2010 Report Share Posted January 27, 2010 So the gain is set too high. I hope you are using a true rms dmm and a 50 hz tone. Should be set at ~36 volts. 36^2/.5=2592. Maybe a little higher depending on the actual impedance at 50 hz. When you start dropping the impedance down to where the power does not double as you half the impedance, setting gains with a dmm can be tricky. . .
