shooter69
Quick question...I've got my single 15" Fi BL in a 4.6 cube box, tuned to 30 hz and I love it but I'm wanting more. Would two fifteens in a sealed box be noticably louder than my current set up? amazinblazin10
Yes and no, i mean your gaining cone area which can always be a plus, but the question is are you gonna run another 1000 watts or split it up. It just all depends. Ben Building
Why would you put your speakers in a sealed box when you can run ported? One ported 15 will be as loud as two in a sealed box. 4th Order (ported box) enclosures are 3-6db more efficient than sealed boxes. When you double your woofer area or power, your output goes up by 3db. Two fifteens in a sealed box with double the power will be as loud as one EBS-loaded 15 but will probably sound more authoritative on the low-lows. shooter69
The original question asked if two sealed fifteens are going to give me more performance than my single ported fifteen. I know fifteens ported would be louder, but this is in a trunk car and I wouldn't be able to make the box big enough unless I fired them forward with an aero going through the rear deck, which I don't want to do. That's why I was asking about two sealed fifteens, not ported. Each sub would get 1500 watts, so I would be doubling the number of watts I have now. I didn't mean to be an ass, his answer just seemed rather smart-ass to me, thank you to those who helped out though!
