Lowroll
I recently built a ported box for an ext cab ranger, the sub is barely hitting past about 35hz & it really slams about 26-27hz. Sub is an AQ 15 (street duty) powered by an AQ1200D Box is about 4.7 cubes with a L port 15.5x4.5 & 18" deep. I planned for it to be around 38 hz. Perhaps I set the amp wrong but I think its the box. is the port too big? wrong comfiguration? Id really appreciate any help on this. Current System: Pioneer 6900 HU Front Stage: (for now) Soundstream tarantula 5.25 in the doors Soundstream tarantula 4x6 in the dash Kenwood 400.4 for mids & highs Bass: 4 Soundstream RW-12's 2 Power Acoustik Stax 4000/1D's single chamber box, 2.65 cubes. Currently under the knife being bagged Rebuilding err'thang

Ben Building
It's hard to tell from the pics what you have going on with that port, but it looks strange. Can you get a close up of the port? You will need to take the front baffle and port off to accomodate a re-calculated port.

Im not worried about pulling the box apart to reconstruct the port because theres a few things id like to change anyway but, the port itself I think might be okay, just the sizing thats wrong. as far as close ups I dont have any. I personally think I just need to close it up some too make it hit the highs better. Any opinions are appreciated.
