MTX J30 Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 I have 2 z15s and a saz 2000d amp with one batt under the hood and one in the trunk. last year i competed in street c and hit a 143.7 with my daily box. The 1st, 2hd, and 3rd place guys in my class all hit 147s. Should i build a comp box and seal off the trunk and try to hit a 148. Or should i use only one sub and compete in either street A or the beginner under 2000 watts class Once or twice I have missed having a back seat / rear hatch, but all in all people love to see a walled vehcile. It just screams "i'm not fucking around with my setup, im loud"

Which is probably better for you, if you can drop the hell out of your impedance. 1 15 with 2.5kw in Street B is a hell of a lot more competitive than 2 15's on 1kw each in Street C. If you're competing against serious SPL guys you're gonna need a hell of a box though. It's not uncommon to see 5-8kw in Street B cars. Let alone Street C... 10.x volts fo' life!
