Cheaply made bling bling shit that falls apart and sounds piss-poor doing it. If you're gonna be DJing, throw down the cash and get some good Pioneer or Technics monitoring headphones. Or maybe Sennheiser. Anything but Skullcandy, I'd rather stick my head in a port. Mixer, take the hit and get the Pio DJM-700. The Rane Scratch imitation thing sucks from what I'm told, the other good one is Tractor Live (I believe that's it) I'm biased towards Serato because it was developed here in NZ but both are nice. Hard to say regarding CDJs vs vinyl... considering you'll just be using the control record/CD in both for whatever software you're using... IMO vinyl is way more tactile but if you're gonna be playing at clubs most of them just have a pair of CDJs and a DJM and you'll be expected to turn up and mix on that. So maybe best to make the move to CDJs early so you don't get caught out. Then again if you're gonna be taking your setup to every gig then get what you're comfortable on. Quote 10.x volts fo' life!
