is it also the famous cheapo brand SPL that you see in pawn shops?

Hello, I have the SPL GRLA 5500/1D, and I can say for the money its a pretty good amp! The amp have a lot of power for his size(its a little smal in size). I have run it in 1 ohm 4 ohm and 0.5 ohm and puts allot of power. I run it on 4 Pioneer 121 SPL on 0.5 ohm and the amp power's them pretty good, before I had only 2 of the pioneer's and the Gorilla pretty much burned the hell out of them at 1 ohm. just for future references, a good spec to look at is the fuse rating.

40a x 5

40 amps * 5 = 200 amps

200 * 14.4 = 2880

2880 * .8 (typical class D efficiency) = 2304

so at a 1ohm load, you could maybe, MAYBE see around 2300 watts. again this is just a guideline to helping decide whether an amp is worth the money. it will NOT put out the "rated" 3200 watts, maybe if you ran it at 18v. then the question is: is the amp stable at 18v? i would say just look into a different amp, with a more accurate fuse-rating-to-specs ratio.
