Say you have 2 12s compared to an 18'' or a 15'' compared to an 18''. Assuming it was the same sub (different size), built to spec box, same vehicle, etc...how much power will it take in comparison to cone area to be louder than the bigger amount of cone area?
Guest Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 2 15's (353.43sqin) on 1000rms should be louder than 3 12's (339.29sqin) on 1000rms but if the 3 12's were on 1500rms (same woofers for everything still) then the 12's will be louder

Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it.
