I wonder how well using dual 4's and bridging the coils on two amps would work, Seems like that would be the way to do it. I'm not sure though as I have never done it myself.

Yes, that is a common practice, but again. Amps have to be identical and carefully gain matched.

Yep, thats what I meant. Now that I think about it I remember reading on powerbass's website they recommended bridging 2 of the 4000's on each coil of the 4xl sub.

you cant bridge 4 amps together.

Thought you said 4, but yes, it common to strap 2 amps to each coil on a dual coil sub. for 4 amps per woofer.

Some have done 8 amps on ea. quad coil sub. But nowadays with 16kw amps, you dont need to.
