rubbernutz1 Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 ya. depending on what ohms your voice coils are you show be able to bridge ur amp to 1 channel and run the sub off it no problem. hell im running 4 single coil subs in 1ohm on a 1 channel amp right now. :hairtrick:

An amp that is stable at 2 ohm stereo put out the same amount of power at 4 ohm bridged. If the amp is stable at 1 ohm stereo (1 ohmx2) then it can handle a bridged 2 ohm load and should put out the same amount of power as it being wired at 1 ohm stereo mode. Why do you not wire 1 coil to each channel? Because sometimes music only has information on 1 channel and not the other and it is not good for the woofer to recieve an unequall amount of power at anytime.
