where can I find an RCA HU adapter locally?

I'm driving 12 hours and I don't want to be without bass, not to mention once I get to my destination I have to show a few people my system that Id on't see often, but I can't bring my car... My friend who's driving has a factory HU with probably no RCA outputs, so I need a RCA output adapter for it how much are they? what are they called exactly? and what are some places I could get it?

I just called my local shop they sia dI needed a Hi to low level converter and it's 25$ he said it will deffinatly work to run an amplifier but I will lose about 20-30% of my quality is this accurate?

i ran one and i dont think it did much at least nothing noticeable.

EDIT: and he probably said that to make you want to go and buy a new headunit

Well the first guy said 20-30% and then the second guy said that it was barely noticable as well, so I'm assuming it should be fine, I've never worked with one of these before do you have to splice it into ALL of the speaker wires or what? I was wondering if maybe I can just tap into the rear speaker wires and ground it in the trunk and have it there, because my friend never took his HU out before and doesn't really want to, so that would be easiest I presume, but if I have to use ALL of the speakers then I'll just do it that way.

I have one but never installed it, its a Valor lol i think if anything is better than stock with no bass. They are pretty cheap so if incase its crapp you wont loose alot of money on it, yo can prob sell it after that.
