Upgrade

Alright so i have 1 type R 12" running off a 500 watt 4 ohms alpine amp. I do not have a capacitor and i have not upgraded my alternator or battery or anything. So if i were to add some alpine speakers and another 12" type r what would i need to upgrade or get.

hopefully ur getting a bigger amp, and ur talking about powering some mids/highs right? it really depends on how much power u want to run if ur talking over 100 watss it would not hurt to upgrade a little bit. You would only benefit from it, and so would ur vehicle.

Yeah i want to get mids and highs but i want to know if it will be necessary to upgrade the battery or alternator and get a capacitor and all that stuff. I mean this isn't going to be like a really powerful system so im hoping i wont need to upgrade the alternator, but if i need to i would like to know if its necessary

If your going to be running more than 1000 watts, i would recommend doing the big 3, you shouldn't need to upgrade a battery or alt tho.

What does the big 3 consist of. Wire upgrades?

Alt + to Battery +, Battery - to where thats hooked up and engine to frame ground, also a capacitor is a waste of money.

Alright so those are just wire upgrades and what if my lights dim alot already... what should i do about it
