BriAnyaKno Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 I am making my next box build for a 15 with a aero port. the setup will be sql oriented running 2k tops. I have built a slot port box at 30hz sounds amazing for my 10". I have been told aero ports move more air but sound higher. So i am wondering whats my best bet on tunning to make it equal to a 30hz slot port. im thinking i would probably have to go 28hz maybe 25hz lowest. also would pollyfill help with the noise the 15 will be seeing 3.11cuft. the driver is a custom build wit t3 tss motor pierce audio products wmd2 coil and custom softparts. should be able to take 2kwrms daily with music without a problem. wont have ts specs/parameters for a week or two -BriAn 12" RD Audio Alpha v2 with PAP softparts. 3"ww 8layer al vc Recoil RED 1000.1 Audiopipe 0 gauge wiring kit Kinetik hc600 5 Farad Capacitor 2.26cuft slot ported box tuned to 30hz (bbp6 says its 37hz 12volt says 30hz)
kirill007 Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 Just tune the areaport like a normal slot port. Maybe even tune it a bit higher then 30, like 32-34 you will be louder. But if you play a lot of low low stuff, then keep the 30hz tuning. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
