Daisy chaining amps

Well idk how but my amp is toast so I ordered another one just like it. The question I have is if I were to get the old one fixed and diasy chain them together or whatever it is what would happen? Would I get more power to my sub, would I run the risk of killing my alt? its just an idea i was toying with so i figured id get a little input about it

You would be more than doubling the power.

I'm basing this off of your sig.

You were running one sub @2ohm. That amp is rated at 1100watts @2ohm.

When you chain two of them on a 2ohm load, each one will be running @1ohm - 1500watts.

So that's now 3000 watts.

So, you will also need a lot more supply power.

so to do that id need a high output alt and a really good battery or just an alt?

i plan on doin this with 2 aq2200d's ..... would it screw them up if i run it at 1ohm? and what do u think the power would be at 4ohm? like 3k?

According to your sig, you are going to be upgrading to a XXX amp....yeah, I'd go ahead and get a big alt now and be done with it.

Do you mean you have a dual 2ohm sub and want to know whether to wire it @1 or 4ohm?
