So sorry for posting one myself but most of you guys know what your talking about when it comes to audio which is great and that's what I need help with. I've been given a budget of about $500 or so give or take, not including tools to make a box and I need some help choosing some subs, amp, cabling, and some decent dampener for my trunk. I drive a 1988 325i BMW Convertible (Yes I know convertibles suck for kick ass subs and stuff but it's all I have right now.) I was looking at some DC Level 3's, possibly one maybe two If it's in my price range, I don't really know what they cost. Also the Fi Q fully loaded or buying another Alpine Type R 12", I already have one and it's just not enough for me. I'm stuck on the amp choices. Give me some idea's on some amps that will power any of those that you guys have experience with and are good for the money. I know $500 isnt much but it's not my money so I gotta do with what I can. If someone could give me a list of tools they used when building their box that would be nice. I've seen some people use wood screws and others use wood glue, which is better. I'm looking at a ported box. Maybe tuned in the lower 30's I like the low's (32-34) maybe? I don't think I'll be able to fit much bigger then 12's in my trunk so that's what I'm looking at so far. Let me know if I left anything out. (plus wire, batteries, and possibly a HO alt ) But at least if you go with the AP3K you won't have to upgrade the amp in the future... Do you think that would be sufficient for right now until I could get some more money? It would probably end up being the AP1500D right now. I've also been looking at Digital Design?
