jojo42
does this sound about right for a single btl 18"? inch and half all way around, 18" tall 25" deep 41" wide, slotted ported 6.5x11x11 at 35 htz, 272 sq inchs port, 6.75 cubes after displacement of sub/bracing. bkolfo4
There are a couple of issues: Not sure how you figured that port area. 6.5 x 11 = 71.5 sq in. That will work. Did you factor in ~.25 cuft for the driver displacement? I don't come up with 6.75 cuft net volume assuming .75 port walls. If you had 6.75 cuft, the 11" long port is tuned closer to 37 hz than 35 hz. Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz. jojo42
Yea, I probably calculated the sq inchs wrong, but the box is 7.5 cubes b4 displacement the BTL is .26 cubes and the bracing turns out to be .13 cubes so the net volume b4 port would be 7.11 cubes 7.02 w/ port, so would 6.5x11x10 port sound better and thatd be 36ish htz correct? 2012 Ford Ranger: Build comming soon!
